In letter to Rahul Gandhi, Anil Ambani explains why Reliance got Rafale contract

New Delhi, Jul 26 (IT): Rebutting the allegations levelled by Congress president Rahul Gandhi that the joint venture between Dassault and Reliance Defence was okayed by the Centre despite the latter not having sufficient expertise in defence manufacturing, Anil Ambani wrote a detailed letter explaining the rationale behind the contract.

Reliance Defence is a venture of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

India Today TV has accessed the letter written by Anil Ambani to Rahul Gandhi on December 12, 2017.

In the letter Ambani claims that the joint venture is independent agreement between two private entities and that the government does not have any role in this.

The Congress, and Rahul Gandhi in particular, had alleged that the Centre had given a nod to the joint venture despite that fact that Reliance Defence does not posses sufficient expertise in the filed.

Speaking about the group's experience in defence manufacturing, Ambani says, "Not only do we have the necessary experience, but we are also the leaders in several areas of defence manufacturing."

He claims that the Reliance Defence has the largest shipyard in the private sector in Pipavav, Gujarat.

"We are currently building five naval offshore patrol vessels for the Indian Navy and 14 fast patrol vessels for the India Coast Guard," he says in his letter.

In regards to its previous international collaborations, Ambani said the Reliance Defence shipyard is the only one in the region that was selected by the US Navy for maintaining its over 100 ships of the US 7th Fleet.

Rebutting Congress's allegations, Ambani said the joint venture will be beneficial for the country because it will generate jobs and impart valuable skills to Indian engineers in the field of defence manufacturing.

This shows that PM could not answer question in the Parliament hence he is not eligible for PM.

secondly, Ambani reply to question in the parliament shows that he defended MODI and showed that MODI is remote controlled by Ambani and hence Ambani is Indian Minister and Adani is Deputy Minister of India

    what a irony of india.

Thirdly letter was accessed by India Today which is run by Ambani.

Hence it is proved that Indian republic nation can be defined as Governemnt of the Ambani by the Ambani for the Ambani.

who elected BJP for them Babaji ka Thullu....

None of the experience that Ambani elaborates here has anything to do with aircraft manufacture/maintenance. The fact that despite India having a company like HAL with decades of relevant experience, still Ambani with zero experience bagging the contract clearly proves it to be a case if crony capitalism. Granting Jio Institute that exists only on paper, the Institute of Eminence is another such case. The mission of the central leadership seems to be keeping both the brothers equally happy at the cost of state exchequer.

    Rathan,
It looks like you are comparing Apples with Kuntala Parnd. !!!!!
What logic you are applying here in manufacturing high tech Fighter Jets for the Country's defense with that of Political Leadership. In a country like ours any one can become a MLA/MP/Minister as long as he has the mandate of the peopl., who mostly vote blindly without thinking about the future consequences.
It is not so in manufacturing Fighter Jets / Aircraft Carriers and Space Crafts.
While your loyalty to the political party is acceptable, please don't be a blind Bhakth when it comes to security of the nation and also safety of our defense forces.

    Sri,

Crippling of India's progress started with Demonetization. If Modi's planning was to work, crores of Rupees would not have been stacked in lockers. And, when people do that, the government could have detected it because it could monitor how much currency (now that it is regularized with new series of numbers) is in the hiding and to whom its issued.

Demonetization has causes crores of Rupees to discard the old paper and procure/print new one as well as to circulate it within a short time-frame irrespective of troubles people had to undergo. Besides, a lot of currency is still with people who were abroad at the given time. They were assured that their currency can be handed over to the bank where they were holding NRE accounts upon their return but the banks refused to accept it because according to instructions they received, only RBI branches were authorized to receive it.

Forget it ! Problems are unnumbered. But they all are caused by none other that Mr. 56" chest bearer. Nevertheless, you fail to see because you are as jaundiced as he is. You guys see fault with only Gandhis, all others are saints.
