Sullia: Enraged Man Fights with Wife, Fires at Son

Sullia, Oct 8: In an incident that occurred at Manimardhu village near here on Tuesday October 7, a son was seriously injured after he was fired at by his father.

Devappa Naik, a resident of Aletty Manimardhu village, was quarrelling with his wife, when his son Deranna Naik (36) intervened. Devappa, who was enraged at the time, fired at his son with his country gun. Deranna was grievously injured in his abdomen region. After providing first aid, the Sullia hospital referred him to a hospital in Mangalore.
