Udupi: ‘Sharannavaratri Mahotsav’ Attracts Thousands of Devotees

Udupi, Oct 9:
‘Sharannavaratri Mahotsav’, was celebrated with pomp and gaiety all over the coastal district.  Special ‘pujas’, Vedic rites, and food offerings were made in various temples as part of the festival on Wednesday October 8.


 
Thousands of devotees flocked to various temples dedicated to Goddess Sri Durga across the district, in Kunjoor, Nandikoor, Belman, Kaup Halemariamma, Katpady Sri Vishwanath temple, Kunjarugiri temple, Bantakal Sri Durga temple, Kadiyali Sri Mahishamardini temple, and Nilavar temple.
