Mangaluru: Hindu outfits hold protest to condemn illegal cattle trafficking

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Jul 26: “There will be need of a second freedom fight and this time it is not against any outsiders. The fight is to protect cows and their owners. Without counter attacks, we cannot find a permanent solution to save cows which are holy for us,” said VHP leader Muralidhar Hamsathadka.

He was addressing the gathering at a protest held by Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Durga Vahini to condemn illegal slaughter houses, cattle trafficking and cow theft at Vamanjoor on Thursday, July 26.

Condemning cow trafficking he said, “It is time to store weapons at homes for the safety of cows and their owners. Cattle thieves have started entering compounds of cow owners with swords and lethal weapons and without any mercy are taking cows away. These thieves are a threat to the lives of women and elderly people. The government and police have completely failed to control cattle mafia and illegal cow slaughtering houses. The thieves are protected by politicians and officials. There is absolutely no point in asking the government for a solution. Now it is our responsibility to guard our cows. We will form our own battalions to protect this society from cow thieves.”

Addressing the protestors, Bajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell said, “Last week, our leaders announced the formation of Gau Rakshak Dal in the district. Soon after this, the district president of SDPI submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner stating that action should be taken against Bajrang Dal and VHP. This move of SDPI is suspicious. Instead of demanding action against cow thieves, why are they demanding action against our organisations? This move itself says the true story. They are issuing fatwa against tennis player Sania Mirza. I dare them to issue fatwa against cow thieves.”

A rally from Moodshedde to Vamanjoor town was held before the protest meet.

If cow is such a sacred animal why no words about it in our national anthem? Why there is no goshala in Parliament compound? Why is Modi not taking even a single cow on his world tours? Why no cowdung mixed with water is poured at others during Holi? Why no Gomutra drinking filter at Rashtrapathi bhavan? Why modi not putting cowdung scent on his expensive dress?

why Police department is not doing proper job to find this culprit?,

Government should impliment progress card of each and every police station to know how many cases registerd and how many solved. In that way we can achive good result.

All the FIR and solved cases should be available to public to view.

Aren't there more serious issues, such as malnutrition, unemployment, better standard of living to be worried about and for which protests to be taken out than the issue of cows? Unfortunate that instead of investing human energy in space research, scientific progress, progress in technology, these people are busy with cow. The most literate districts in Karnataka give an impression of being illiterate and backward!!!

BETTER PFOTEST TO HELD IN EACH AND EVERY VILLAGE AND TO DO AWARENESS PROGRAMME CONSTANTLY.
SOCIETY BECOME SO WORSE ONE CANNOT KEEP CATTLES FOR THERE LIVLIHOOD. POOR PEOPLE DEPENDING ON THEM THE MOST AS IT'S EASY WASY INCOME OF SOURCE. SURPRISE TO LEARN MORE THAN 38 COWS STOLEN FROM OLD LADY WHO DEPEND ON IT AND NOW WORKING AS SWEEPER. WHY NOT ADMINISTRATION TAKE ANY PREVENTIVE MEASURES OR ACTION. FOR SAKE OF VOTE BANK KEEPING QUITE IS NOT AT ALL RIGHT THING.

State govt should support and open up to budding enterpreuners who want to do cow farming, ranches, beef selling, dairy products and beef by-products. This will boost job opportunities and stop cattle trafficking. Those who want to worship cows and don't eat beef are allowed to do so with full right and will not be troubled in any way.
