Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind forms RSS-like 'youth club' to protect Muslims

New Delhi, Jul 28 (Zee News): In the backdrop of the alleged targeting of the minority community members by the right-wing outfits and their leaders, leading Islamic organisation Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has constituted the 'Jamiat Youth Club' to protect Muslims.

The Jamiat Youth Club has been modelled on the lines of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh's (RSS) Scout Guide. Like the RSS, the young members of the JYC will be trained in various self-defence techniques.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind plans to give membership to nearly 10,000 youths within a period of six months in the first phase.

While launching the JYC exhibition at Deoband's Firdaus Garden, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind general secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani outlined its modus operandi and its future course of action.

Madani informed that within a span of six months, nearly ten thousand Muslim youths shall be included and imparted training. They would display their skills at an open forum in the month of February 2019.

On this occasion, 96 members of the JYC, hailing from states like Gujarat, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, also showcased their talents.

It is to be noted that several Muslim bodies have expressed concerns over growing incidents of mob lynching across the country in the name of cow protection and over suspicion of beef consumption.

The latest one was reported from Alwar in Rajasthan where a 28-year-old Muslim man, identified as Rakbar aka Akbar Khan, was lynched to death by a violent group of villagers over suspicion of cow smuggling.

The incident triggered a sharp response from several quarters and a blistering attack on the incumbent BJP dispensation at the Centre.

Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind is one of the leading Islamic organisations in India. It was founded in 1919 by noted Islamic scholars including Sheikh ul Hind Maulana Mehmood Hasan, Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmad Madani, Maulana Ahmed Saeed Dehlvi, Mufti Kifayatullah Dehlavi, Mufti Muhammad Naeem Ludhianvi, Maulana Ahmad Ali Lahori and many others.

Is Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh registered organisation? Over the years many people asked this question and a proper satisfying answer was never given by RSS. On 23 July 2016, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh told journalists in Goa, “There is no question of banning an unregistered organisation. Number of times you ask for a ban on RSS, you know RSS is not a registered organisation”.

A retired school teacher, social activist and a former corporator from Nagpur, where RSS is headquartered. In 2017 April, he raised few questions through his publication, Nagrik Haq Samrakshan– roughly translated as Protection of People’s Rights/ Civic rights– on the RSS and sent it to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Moon wanted CM to initiate action against RSS if found guilty.
    The seven questions were:
    1) Doesn’t RSS need any registration?
    2) Is RSS an organisation, an individual, a company or something else?
    3) What is the source of funding for the 56,000 shakhas (branches) of RSS?
    4) what is the source of funding for its annual festivities and various other programmes?
    5) How is it that crores of Rupees from taxpayers money spent on RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat’s security?
    6) The Mahal based property of RSS belongs to one Mr. M D Devras. Why CIFS is guarding it?
    7) Government of India has recently made some changes to the… in which of these categories RSS fit in to?
Meanwhile, a simple check in the NGO Directory and Data List shows that out of the registered and currently active 6381 NGOs / Charitable Trusts / Charitable Societies in Maharashtra there are 13 whose name starts with Rashtriya and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not one of them.
On this, the silence of the RSS and BJP is so telling. It points to the possibility of the RSS brazenly operating all these years illegally and without any accountability.
The RSS still operates without any registration and accountability after 70 years of independence!!

forming a group like rss is not a solution we should mingle with the mainstream of India and should work for the future of our country. this kind of groups will lead to more harassing of the minority community as if there is not enough like in the name of love jihad, cow and what else God alone knows. as if some one has commented join public service and public administration. in the country where minorities are a threat to majority is a joke. and most of them from all the sects want to live a peaceful life. instead of focusing on education, employment and health our govt is only bothered about big projects like bullet train building statues which surely will help investors in the long run the general public gets nothing frankly speaking what did we get from DE MO, GST did any one of the big ones stand in line and lost their life or did any black money came back and the govt is still calculating and calculating govt wants us to fight each other in the name of cast, religion etc. while they help the corporates to reap and fill their stomachs wake up my fellow country men wake up before it is too late

    Yousuf Saab,
    What is the problem?
If they are coming out with an organization equivalent to RSS, then it is good. If they follow RSS in patriotism and their love for fellow human beings, the new organization will be a boon for this country!

Mr Ivar...In 1947 India also divided for the good only! but what happened..Division of India is route cause of all the problem for Indian Minorities...Minorities and Dalits suffered a lot..If Muslims agreed for Dr BR Ambedkar for Prime Minister instead of Division the Indian scene would have been different.

Might be Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is backed by RSS as election of 2019 is approaching. Just to polarise votes. Might be some RSS cadres at the back door, might be giving them training too.

Similar like here in Mangalore, some BD members along with others, stealing cows and selling to butchers. The group leaders will earn money, irrespective of religion. All are hand in gloves and fooling the common man.

Forming the radical group is not the solution for lynchings. It will cause more damages to the community and many youths will be landed in the jails. Modi govt is emboldening the right wing groups in the country for his political gains. BJP needs more and more radical groups on the opposite side for the survival of RSS. The best solution is throw Modi govt out from the power, draft the strict law against lynchings and ban all the right wing organizations. Then only people can live peacefully in this country.

indeed protector is Allah but without unity/organization as an Individual u cant step even a single foot ahead when vultures are all around u.

God helps only when there is unity not divison, hence in Islam importance of congreation of Salah is of high esteem. 5 times a day in congregation, once in a week on Friday, 2 times in a year in much bigger way, and finally during Haj as Aalami Jamath. What is the meaning of it?? No matter ur rich-poor, black-white, King-servant, african-American ur one and need to be together shoulder to shoulder, thats when God Almighty helps by His mercy.
