Woman constable holds on to speeding two-wheeler to catch errant female rider

Rajkot, Aug 1(Zee News): It was an unusual chase for a female traffic cop in Rajkot in Gujarat as she caught a traffic violator on a scooty. She had to run for a distance, holding the rear handle of the two-wheeler, before she could manage to get hold the woman trying to flee. The incident was caught on camera and the video is now going viral on social media platforms.

The video shows the cop asking the woman rider to get her scooty on the side of the road as she had apparently violated traffic rules. But just as the cop’s attention got diverted, the woman accelerated her bike in an attempt to flee.

But it wasn’t an easy run for her as the cop acted swiftly and started running behind her, holding the rear handle of the vehicle.

After running behind the vehicle for some distance, she managed to stop the woman and immediately pulled the key out of ignition, leaving no scope for her to run away.

I have seen the video here, attached in the daijiworld. I can say, it is the woman constable who is at fault. The woman scooty, was just moving from the vehicle congession to a safer area , then driving the vehicle. It seems, the woman constable is taking out her frustration on this woman sccoty.

This woman constable really requires better training, how to control the traffic and crowd too.

Getting away after breaking the law is not a general rule in Gujarat. It is only privilege of few.
Looking forward to vichaar of Jessy Maam on this.

The woman cop is a crack. She is endangering the life of both the driver as well as her own. There was a case wherein a cop tried a similar stunt in another state and as a result, the driver lost his life.

    Is Rajkot in India..!!?
Why no 2 wheeler riders wear helmets there? Supreme Court order is only valid in Mangalore?
Police don't have the right to remove ignition key, instead they can note down the number & send penalty notice directly to their homes as they do here with camera recording as proof.

    Dear Dev, Mangalore,

The Police can chase and catch the two wheeler in case she didn't heed to what the police said in her presence.

She didn't heed to what the police cop told the two wheeler.

So she used her physical power to stop her two wheeler.

Remember the video is not showing any physical scuffles here if there was they would have shown the scuffles in between the two wheeler and the violator.

    Corrected message:

Remember the video is not showing any physical scuffles here if there was they would have shown the scuffles in between the two wheeler and the woman Police.
Suppose there was scuffle, then the reactions of the commentators would have been different.

NO PHYSICAL SCUFFLE IN BETWEEN THE TWO

    WOMEN POLICE HAS AUPPER HAND

It is from the might of a Women Police risking her own life.
She is a brave women rightly selected to police department.

There is a easy method to catch the two wheeler note down her number plate or make a video immediately and summon her to police station or send a notice of fine and catch her with two or three police personnel to pay the fine. If not paying the fine you have hold on her driving licence not to be renewed or the police can confiscate her two wheeler.

    Joseph F.Gonsalves,
You are quite right to point out that there are less heroic ways of getting the scooty driver to pay the fine. It is not worth risking her life or the life of the driver or other persons using or driving on the road. The woman cop seems to be a daredevil to use her physical might for a trifling offence like breaking traffic rules. without regard to safety of herself or others. Traffic violations are not crimes. She needs better or more police training, or be assigned to crime unit where her physical might may come handy.
