Kuwait, Oct 11: The Mega event of Tulu Koota Kuwait - "Tulu Parba 2008", was held on 9th & 10th October'2008 at American International School Auditorium (Dr Kamal Al Rayes Auditorium), Maidan Hawally, Kuwait.  The twin dramas from Lukumi troup of ‘Kusalda Kalavider’ were the major attraction of both the days.

The first day program started with welcome Dance Choreographed and directed by Prerna Waliwadekar. President Sathischandra Shetty and Vice President Swarna Shetty along with Management Committee  and Advisory Committee symbolically inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.  The souvenir was released by main sponsor’s representative Helen Pinto along with President Satishchandra Shetty.  One minute silent prayer was observed on demise of Anad Bolar during the welcome Speech delivered by Vice president Swarna Shetty. 



Tarendra Shettigar introduced the Lukumi troup of ‘Kusalda Kalavider’ who entertained the audience by their superb comedy play directed by Naveen D padil ‘Nambunane Nambod’.  The drama was full of comedy which tickled every mone’s ribs whereas the last scene of the drama succeeded in bringing tears from the eyes of audience.

The second day’s program started with welcome Dance presented by Nritta Dhyana, Choreographed and directed by Sujatha Rajenran.  President Satishchandra Shetty delivered welcome speech after the lighting of lamp. The scheduled super hit drama “Anchilath Inchilath” was replaced by ‘Benpinori Tinpinori’ due to the sudden demise of the main character Anand Bolar who expired on 21st September 2008.

After the interval, sponsors were honored with flower bouquet by vice President and with momento by president.  The members of Tulu Koota Mr. Tharendra shettigar, Loius Lobo and A.K.Ravindra were felicitated with Palapushpa , Shawl and  Memento by President Satishchandra Shetty and vice president Swarna Shetty for their hard work and contribution towards the association.

Father Melvin along with scholarship sponsors Vivek Rao, Chandrahas Shetty and Sudhakar shetty distributed the merit scholarships to the winners. This year’s scholars were Sherol, Jane Jyothi, Anisha sharal, Sheryl, Janice Roline, sonal and Muriel Mascarenhas.  Mementos were presented to drama artists and Mr. Kishore D. Shetty by President Sathischandra Shetty.  The program came to an end with vote of thanks by Gen.Secretary Dhiraj Shetty and introduction of Drama artist in their casuals.

The well arranged program was compered by Tharendra Shettigar, Shalini Alva, suresh Salian and Helen Pinto, Co-ordinated by Harish Bhandary and Sponsored by Behbehani Car Rentals. The stage was set by David D’Souza.
