Student stabbed in Delhi government school


New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS): A student was stabbed at a government school here on Thursday by a fellow student following a fight, police said.

The incident occurred at around 8 a.m inside the Government Sarvodaya Boys Senior Secondary School in east Delhi's Krishna Nagar.

"During investigation it was found that the students belonged to class 11 and 10. They indulged in a fight after the morning assembly. The class 10 student took out a knife and launched an attack. The injured student suffered three to four stab wounds," Deputy Commissioner of Police Meghna Yadav said.

"The victim was hospitalised where he was declared out of danger and is undergoing treatment."

The police have detained the accused student.
