Trooper, policeman injured in attack on CRPF picket


Srinagar, Aug 3 (IANS): A CRPF trooper and a policeman were injured on Friday when militants attacked a security picket in Anantnag town in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said the militants hurled a grenade and fired at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) picket outside the State Bank of India branch. Two security personnel suffered injuries in the incident.

In another case, gunmen barged into the Jammu and Kashmir Bank's branch in Kapran village in Shopian district and looted Rs 75,850, apart from a .12 bore gun of the bank guard.
