Mangaluru, Aug 5: District in-charge minister U T Khader on Satuday, August 4 said that 'MUDA to people' scheme will be launched in September to enable Mangaluru Urban Developmet Authority (MUDA) reach the people of the outskirts of Mangaluru.

U T Khader, minister for Urban Development and Housing, at the first MUDA Adalat in Mangaluru said that MUDA officials will reach out to the people of suburbs once in a week and sanction sites on the spot to those building houses on their piece of land.

"Under this scheme, which is aimed at tackling middlemen menace, officials will be assigned to visit Mulki, Surathal, Bajpe and Ullal on every Saturday. In these rotational visits, MUDA officials will verify the applications of those seeking single sites and conduct spot inspection after receiving payments," he said.

The officials within three days will give approval for single sites, he said.

He also informed that MUDA Adalat will be held once in six months. "In this first Adalat, we have cleared 40 applications out of 116 people who had registered to take part. I have directed the officials to grant single site approvals at the earliest,” he added.

    Great Job!.
Khadar Kaka, if you really want to help public bring ERP based system (e-Governance) and implement transparent system. Implement rules that MUDA officials to update customers fortnightly or reply to their e-mail. Every thing will go straight . Currently if weight (You know what I mean ... ) is added the officers standard reply is file is not found., we will search .. and it goes on for months and months.
With e-Governance accountability comes to these officers and such harassment will reduce.
