Kasargod: CPI (M) activist brutally killed at Uppala by unknown assailants

Kasargod, Aug 6: A CPI (M) activist was brutally killed by four assailants on the late night of Sunday, August 6 at Sonkal in Uppala.

Abubakar Siddique (21), from Sonkal, is the person deceased.

As per details, at around 11pm.four unidentified assailants came on bikes and attacked Abubakar.

Abubakar was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru. But he could not be saved as he had sustained grave injuries.

Abubakar worked in Doha and had come few days back home.

The assailants left a bike at the murder spot before fleeing.

CPI (M) workers have accused BJP for the act. They have called for a protest at 2 pm on Monday, August 6 in Manjeshwar taluk.

Kasargod DySP Sukumaran, Kumble circle-inspector Prem Sagar and Manjeshwar police visited the spot.

Police have taken up investigations. Security has been tightened in the area.

    After so many years in uppala this happened.. uppala was So peaceful there used to me small chaos but it used to get sorted in few hours . This will definitely spoil the atmosphere of uppala and we cannot expect what will happen next.. I hope culprits are punished by god .     Political violence is the trademark of communists whether in Bengal , Kerala or Tripura. In 34 yrs of Rule in Bengal they killed 52000 people from the opposition mostly from Congress and Trinamool. In Kerala they have killed Congress, IUML & BJP leaders in the past. Now it seems there is a reaction which is not justified. In places where Congress and BJP rule there is no such.violence. We have not seen BJP & Congress workers killing each other in Karnataka or any other state

    Arman, Dubai- Lynching is a new phenomenon and it is related to rumours spread in what's app groups this is not related to any party. Many people have been lynched based on child lifting rumours also. It is not always related to cattle theft it has got nothing to do with political party. Since what's app was not that popular before we had not seen these happening then. Now many new users on what's app tend to believe all forwards as truth and hence these things happen. Once social media starts regulating itself it will reduce these type of unfortunate incidents.
