Kundapur: Act of four thieves stealing cows caught on CCTV camera

Kundapur, Aug 7: Four thieves stole cattle on Monday, August 6, late night.

This incident was reported from Basrur near here and was caught on CCTV camera.

The scene of cattle thieves chasing the cows before catching them was caught on the CCTV camera of the nearby Basrur Mahalingeshwara petrol bunk.

As per the CCTV footage there were four persons including a guy who was wearing a mask on his face.

More details are awaited.

    There many cattle thieves in Mangalore nowadays....it's become a big headake for poor farmers... .. . Near my house last years two cows stolen from the hut ...she staying alone and only depend on it.. last week another house they only one cow it is stolen from their hut.....months back one more house their all three cows stolen from their hut.....
    From one cow they can earn at least 50 to 60 thousands......it is quick money making..... and only poor are targeting ...
    Better to shoot them at sight if you find......idiot people

    I have serious doubts about this video clip!. Cow thieves behave violently and they are not soft on cows if they are indeed intent on taking the cows! Here they appear to run behind and chase cows like school children do and everything looks to be stage managed for the cctv video!!!. Masking the face is the reason enough to conceal identity!. If these culprits are arrested, then the names will reveal who they are and what's thier purpose!. People should remember hoisting of Pakistan flag!!!!.

    The police should get help from Chinese police. they have AI which can tell who the people are by matching the body movements with the vast database of all the Chinese citizens.

Their guts have reached such highs that they even steal pepper & arecanut from drying yards at night in addition to stealing cows into Scorpios & jeeps.     Cow theft??? And is that a cow shed??? no..... so.. to whom does this cattle belong to??? These guys are doing service to society by taking off stray cattle off the streets.

    What i want is that the police should first track the owner of the cattle and put him/her behind bars.

    I was walking from Udupi court to Mission compound at about 8 pm and found that not a single person was walking on the road....... Its normal even in Udupi you will not find the people on the road accept in Bus station...... You mean if these people are doing this video recording during the day???? Just go that place at about 10 pm and find out how many people will be there.

    These things cannot go on without political patronage and by patronage I mean across party lines. All are involved in this racket. It benefits politicians to keep this issue burning as they have a lot to gain either politically or financially. If there is a genuine crackdown then this nonsense can be stopped immediately. Why did cattle theft not happen while we were growing up? cows used to openly graze and return to their owners homes in the evenings and nobody used to touch them. Why then has this problem reared its ugly head only now? Any intelligent person can make out this rotten game.

    I agree with you. Cases such as a common man catching somebody else's cow becomes sensational news but a number of cows dying in government shelters is silenced off. Why ? Does the holiness becomes less when the cow is in the responsibility of the government ?
