Bengaluru, Aug 8: Angered by certain comments made by the newly inducted JD(S) state president, H Vishwanath, MLA and former deputy chief minister, K S Eshwarappa, lashed out at him and termed him as an unemployed who just now got an employment. He advised Vishwanath to desist from speaking about BJP after being out of job for very long.
Speaking to media persons after holding discussions with deputy chief minister, Dr G Parameshwar about the central prison at Sjivamogga, he said that after Vishwanath was kicked out of Congress by Siddaramaiah, he did not have any work to do. Now he has joined hands with Deve Gowda and become a legislator, he stated.
About minister, Revanna's comment about recommendation made by him for the transfer of PWD engineer, Eshwarappa said that being a legislator, he has the right to demand for an efficient officer in his area. He felt that Revanna does not have the right to question this recommendation. At the same time, he wanted to know why Revanna meddles with transfers in other departments. "If he is given the liberty, he will indulge in transfer issue of the entire nation," he commented.
Before this, Eshwarappa held discussions about use of land presently allotted to the central prison for use in public utility and national programme. Parameshwar noted that police training and parade are conducted in 48 acres of land here, and spot inspection would be necessary to verify whether it can be used for public programmes.
Director general of police, Neelamani Raju, and other officials were present at the meeting.
