Bagalkote, Aug 10: Former chief minister and Congress-JD(S) coordination committee president Siddaramaiah hit back at BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa and said that several BJP MLAs were in touch with Congress on Thursday, August 9.
Speaking at a party meeting at Guledagudda in preparation of upcoming local body polls, Siddaramaiah said, "BJP is trying hard to come to power by back door dirty politics. They have already humiliated themselves by trying to grab power once and if they try once again they are going to suffer,"

"No Congress MLA is in contact with the BJP. For how many days did Yeddyurappa remained chief minister after coming to power by playing dirty backdoor politics? To be honest, several BJP MLAs are in touch with us," he said.
Lashing out at BJP senior leader K S Eshwarappa, Siddaramaiah said, "Eshwarappa does not know about our Constitution. He is ignorant of the social system of our nation."
While responding to media query on possible alliance with the JD(S) in the local body polls, Siddaramaiah said that the decision is left to the local leaders.
