"Can Make Better Rafale, Give Me Contract": Congress MP Tells Parliament

New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI): The Rafale fighter jet deal sponsored some of the most piercing attacks yet by the opposition on the government as Congress leaders raised slogans, waved placards and demanded a joint parliamentary committee probe into the high-profile defence contract on the last day of the current session of parliament. Waving a paper plane model, one Congress leader even demanded that he be given the contract.

"I can make a better Rafale (fighter aircraft), please give me the contract," Congress MP Sunil Jakhar said today, before his party members staged a walkout after a noisy protest demanding the setting up of a joint parliamentary committee or JPC to probe the alleged scam in the Rafale deal.

Mr Jakhar demonstrated with the paper replica of the fighter aircraft during the Zero Hour as Congress members assembled in front of the Speaker, raising slogans. Congress members waved placards which read 'Modi's Rafale Gate' and set up 'JPC set up karo'.

"Madam, I want permission to present the replica of the Rafale on the table of the House. Please permit that. I can make a better Rafale than (an industrialist) who has no experience in manufacturing one," Mr Jakhar said.

"I have been practising it since last night," the Congress MP added, flaunting the paper replica of aircraft.

Leader of the Congress in the House Mallikarjun Kharge also alleged that the deal was a scam "worth thousands of crores."

Mr Kharge also said that there was no quorum which was against the values of the House. "We are walking out," he said. He then led the Congress members to stage a walkout.

Is it!?. Didn't BJP oppose Rafale deal in 2008 when UPA government selected it!?. Didn't they say Rafale is not proven in combat nor any country is purchasing and Eurofigter Typhoon or SAAB Griphen is a better fighter!. BJP also said we should increase no of SU-30MKI instead of buying Rafale!!!!. Didn't you support BJP then!!!???. Now the same BJP is purchasing this Rafale at a much higher price and now also you support!!!. It looks you are clueless and just want to support this thugs party come what may!!!!

From where you got the idea that Ambani is making the planes?
The only deal that has been signed so far is the govt to govt deal.

@sunitha- Pak is quickly developing small sized nuclear bomb which can do significant damage to small city etc... In future Pak will definitely try to seize Kashmir... Your land based military has no use ok... Definitely we need very good aircrafts which can strike precisely

Exactly sri_younger (sorry elder), that is reason we need better fighter jet to counter Pak but when fighter was priced @ 600 crores/piece, that time BJP objected and said it was overpriced, now the same aircraft prices @ 1600 crores/piece under BJP govt then isn't it putting our national security at risk????? Reliance defence company was just formed before Modi's visit to Paris and signed deal to this company by kicking out the great HAL which was well experienced in aircraft field where Reliance even doesn't have experience of making toy aircraft. "Hum kareng tho chamatkar lekin woh karengetho balathkar" "wow Modiji wow tussi great ho". When some one raise this quistions, they are "anti nationalist". Come on guys, check fact and decide but at the end whether we like it or not but fact is fact. For BJP they doesn't have any other words other than "Pakistan", "Cow" "hindu & muslim". For more details pls watch below clip and decide yourself what went wrong with Rafael deal.....JAI HIND and God bless my (our) beloved INDIA.
