Mangaluru: Independence Day celebrated by Hikmah International Academy

Mangaluru, Aug 21: Hikmah International Academy celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at the school premises in Vas Lane to inculcate the feeling of patriotism at a very young age in the minds of the students.

Chief guests Anup Adat, HUB HR, business partner, Middle East & Africa, ABB Transmission & Distribution, Dubai, Naushad Ahmed, managing partner, Global Jet Centre, Dubai, Sayed Rafik, senior accountant, ZAIN Telecommunications, Kuwait, Sandeep Salian, sales executive, AXIS Bank Mangaluru, chairman Mohammed Nisar, Hikmah trustees, CAO and the acting principal all graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.



The dignitaries shared their views on the significance of Independence Day and remembered all freedom fighters and martyrs who gave their life for the freedom of the country. The little ones performed exceptionally well on stage on the theme of Independence and sang patriotic songs.

The winners of the elocution competition, fancy dress competition, drawing, colouring, and craft competitions held in school prior to the Independence Day celebration were awarded for their excellent performance in each category.

Sumayya Teacher convened the event.

The programme concluded with the national anthem. India's national flags and sweets were distributed to the students to commemorate the joyous occasion.
