Dubai Oct 18: Prabhakar Ambalthere’s 'Ambalthere Vision’ presented a maiden event under its banner, a truly hilarious Tulu social drama "Ganguna Gammath", supported by Tulu Koota U A E, on Friday October 17 at the Indian Consulate. The much-awaited Tulu play began at 5 pm in the presence of jam-packed audience.

Earlier the programme began at 3.30 pm with light music. Budding singers like Raviraj Tantry, Harish Sherigar, Praboditha and Shodhan Prasad entertained the audience with melodious Kannada and Hindi songs for one and half hour.

The second session began with the lighting of traditional lamp by Sarvotham Shetty, Mark Denis, Prabhakar Ambalthere, Shobitha Ambalthere, Dr Yousuf, C R Shetty, Shekar Shetty Muloor, Praveen Shetty, Shashi Shetty, Francis Casia, Sujay Bendore and Murali.

They admired Ambalthere for stepping on to the Tulu stage and his new mission and called upon the Tuluvas to support his project "Ambalthere Vision."

Ambalthere expressed his gratitude to Kannadigas and Tuluvas for supporting him and encouraging him. Recalling his school teacher's advice Ambalthere said when two people meet they should speak in a language which both of them can understand. He asked the parents to encourage their children to learn their mother tongue, culture and traditions.

This was followed by Tulu comedy drama 'Ganguna Gammath' which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience glued to their seats for non-stop three hours.  The entire group of artists, Kiran Shetty, Dinesh Correa, Santhosh Poojary, Alwyn Pinto, Charlie Kombalke, Sandeep B K, Harish Kamath, Nithin Kumar, Rajesh Kuthar, Shashi Shetty, Janet Sequeira, Cynthia Pinto, Prathima Shetty, including the supporting actors Vivet, Seleyn, Prashobitha Ambalthere and Usha Vishwanath along with the director Vishwanath Shetty did  a wonderful job.  They were supported by Kethan, a well-known keyboard player who scored background music, Prasad Rai who provided sounds, Kishore Gatti providing make-up and Sathish Shetty who set the stage for the play. Prabhakar Ambalthere proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked each and everyone for making this event successful. He also thanked the all the artists and Vishwanth Shetty who directed the drama.
