Doha, Oct 18: The Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Qatar is holding its seventh annual ‘MCC Ladies Open Throwball Tournament’, on two consecutive at the Indian Club grounds, Al Wakhra road, Doha. The dates of the tournament are Thursday October 16, Friday October 17, Thursday October 23 and Friday October 24.
Seven teams—‘Tulu Koota’, ‘Konkan Stars’, ‘India Club’, ‘Lanka Lions’, ‘Qatar Tamizhar Sangam’, ‘Al Khor United’, and the host team—will be vying for the prestigious trophy. Matches on Thursdays will be played 6.00 pm onwards and on Fridays from 4.30 pm.
In the past, the throwball tourney has not just provided an avenue for ladies to exhibit their sporting skills, but also n opportunity for spectators to join in the fun and spirit of the game. MCC invites all sports lovers in Qatar to attend this tournament in large numbers and cheer the teams.
