Kerala Minister K Raju apologises for his Germany trip

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 23 (IANS): Kerala Forest Minister K. Raju on Thursday issued an apology for taking a trip to Germany while the state reeled under heavy floods.

The Kerala unit of the Communist Party of India (CPI) came under severe flak after Raju, a party lawmaker, left for his trip last week.

Speaking to a TV channel, the Minister admitted that the timing of his trip was wrong.

"I left for Germany on August 16 to attend a programme of the World Malayalee Council near Bonn. I returned in four days but by that time, the flood situation in the state was already out of control... The timing of the trip was ill-timed and wrong," said Raju.

The entire Opposition and a section of his party has demanded Raju's sacking.

Was wrong from him to attend this .without him also the meeeting would have gone.As soon as he heard, should have immediately left to help or atleast his people to show that he care for them.Is a meeting was important than the peoples misery to elevate? Now he has the choice to resign for his mistake or just go to the flood effected area and help with all his energy and work ,donate the amount spent from people to them back.

The Money whatever the Forest Minister K. Raju spent for his Germany trip plus fines for going to Germany trip should be collected from him and should be donated to flood hit Keralites.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY REMEDY FOR HIS LUXURY TRIP TO GERMANY.

    APOLOGY IS NOT REQUIRED.

Yes very good point to be noted because many disagree walas here are just against Modi only. So whatever you do will be just a point to be noted and you can carry on as usual
But for Modi He announced immediate Rs 100 crores ,sent Army,Navy and NDRF Team and then after 4 days visited Kerala announced Rs 500 Crores has promised more funds .Received call from UAE Prince who told about giving out Rs 700 crores etc etc .Still Modi is doing very less for Kerala --This is the common comment by Disagree walas here
