Udupi, Aug 27: The Quiz Club of Milagres English Medium School organized an inter school quiz for state boards schools of Udupi and Brahmavar taluks ‘Master Mind Udupi 2018’ on August 24. Prof Sathish Nagadde, principal of Trisha College Kallianpur was the chief guest. Fr Dr Lawrence D’Souza, correspondent of Milagres Institutions presided over the programme. Herald D’ Silva assistant teacher of St Joseph Higher Primary School was the quiz master.

About 10 teams and 30 students from different schools participated in the quiz. A preliminary round was conducted and five teams namely Mukunda Kripa School Udupi, St Cecily’s School Udupi, Vasudevakripa Vidyamandira School Udupi, Shri Narayana Guru School Malpe and Milagres School Kallianpur made it to the final round.

Results:

First place - Mukunda Kripa Englisjh Medium Higher Primary School, Udupi
Second place - Milagres English Medium Higher Primary School, Kallianpur
Third place - Vasudevakripa Vidyamandira Higher Primary School, Udupi

Fr Lancy Fernandes, the headmaster, gave away the prizes and congratulated the winners and thanked the teams for their participation, staff and students of quiz club for all the arrangements.

Students of quiz and IT club conducted the prayer service. Stiya Lewis welcomed the gathering, Anvitha rendered the vote of thanks and Shreya compered athe programme.

Primary school headmistress Veera D’Silva, quiz and IT club co-ordinators Priya Rego and Savina D’Almeida were present.

The entire event was managed by quiz club members and staff of primary school.
