Mysuru, Aug 27: "What is the relationship between cow slaughter and the flood that occurred in Kerala? Should we react to this kind of statements by the BJP leaders?" fumed former CM Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking to the scribes after seeking blessings from the Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Math, which is situated at the foot of the Chamundi Hills.

 

Expressing his anguish on the statement of BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal which said that the recent deluge was the punishment God inflicted on the people of Kerala as they have consumed beef, Siddaramaiah questioned, "People of Kerala are eating beef from time immemorial. Why there was no deluge during that period?"

    You worry about your constituency first where you lost by 50K votes and the other you just managed to scrape. Public has rejected you outrightly. Such statements wont assure you a revival . Your vote bank is dented and wont help you as well. Check with Dodda Gowdru first.

    Mr. Siddaramaiah is ignorant to few things and arrogant to many more. That is why he ended up in contesting in two constituencies, to manage thin margin at one, an ignominy never faced by a sitting Chief Minister. With his present IQ level, he may have to take rebirth several times to understand ethics and ettiquettes of life....!

    When it comes to BJP they will connect anything - the best example of PM Modi who has come from RSS teachings said that "the tea drink maker made tea from gas that was produced from sewage or Nali" in the same way BJP will connect Beef to Floods. What about 100 infants who died in UP Hospital for lack of oxygen. Did they die due to their family not eating beef. This is what you get when the top leader called PM talks rubbish.

    Slaughtering animals and specialy COW generates worst Karma.
    This karma has nothing to do with separate entity called God .

    I checked with my friends in Kodagu who eat beef. They are all fine and nothing happened to them or their properties, but they told me that some of their neighbourhoods were destroyed by the floods and all these poor people who lost everything were not eating beef...………………..

    Cow is God and it is the Creator of Kerala. Killing cow will bring natural disaster. But money is more important than this God. So selling cows to butchers by the Cow protector is fine to them.
