Bengaluru, Aug 28: It is gathered that a person succeeded in relieving a budding actress of about eight lac rupees. Reportedly he convinced her of the need to spend money for performing of puja and sacrificing of a child, all of which he said, requires lot of money. The actress, who believed the person, is now cursing her fate.

The person had introduced himself as the producer of Kannada movie, 'Manjina Hani' with Ravichandran in the lead. The person is said to have told actress, Chetana, that he would be able to get her the role of Ravichandran's younger sister in the movie. He also provided her a telephone number and asked her to call a person named Gauri if she wanted to grow in the filmdom.

Chetana reportedly contacted Gauri on the phone. Gauri told her that her future would be bright if she performs a particular puja and also sacrifices a baby. She asked Chetana to hand over money required for these purposes to Nagesh. Thereafter, Nagesh fleeced her in phases, and collected about eight lac rupees in total.

At last, Chetana found out that she was taken for a ride. Thereafter she filed complaint in Girinagar police station here.
