Mangaluru: St Agnes College students, staff visit Kodagu relief camps, distribute material

Mangaluru, Aug 29: A team of 7 undergraduate and post graduate students along with three faculty members Sr Vinora AC, Dr Uday Kumar and Derick Dais recently left for Kodagu.

The principal Sr Dr Jeswina AC, and vice principal Sr Dr Venissa AC, along with the team of 10 members prayed for the people of Kodagu and a safe journey to Madikeri.

Contributions of the faculty and students like edible items, baby food and clothes, medical kits, sanitary pads, diapers, bedsheets, spices, water bottles, toothpaste and brushes and soaps were packed and taken along.



In Kodagu, the team visited relief camps set up at Aruna Junior College, Kodava Samaj Madikeri, Gubbi Sankappa Hall, Bhramana Kalyana Mantapa, Kodagu District Hospital and Kodagu Government Hospital.

Interacting with the affected people they realised the horrifying experiences and woes of the people.

The team distributed the items among the victims.

This was a small gesture through which St Agnes College team showed solidarity to the victims of Kodagu.
