Mangaluru: St Ann’s College of Education hosts inter-school competition Pratibhotsava

Mangaluru Aug 31: St Ann’s College of Education is on the threshold of celebrating its platinum jubilee. Toward this end, a series of activities and events are planned all through this momentous year and one such activity is ‘Pratibhotsava – 2018’, an inter-school competition.

With an objective of providing opportunities for secondary school students to identify and exhibit their talents and potentialities and to substantiate their learning, knowledge and skills, ‘Pratibhotsava – 2018’ served as a platform to achieve the above objective.

Prathibhotsava 2018 had a gamut of competitions, like collage, working model and mime show. Sr Ida Barboza AC, secretary of Apostolic Carmel Educational Education Society, Karnataka Province was the chief guest.



Principal Dr Sr Leonilla Menezes AC was present.

Shifali S G and Rumana of St Agnes School (CBSE) bagged first place and Ananya Rao and Ananya Udupa of Canara School secured second place in collage competition.

In the working model competition, Pritham P Shetty and Vinod of Ramakrishna High school, Bunts Hostel and Pournami Shetty and Shravya J Rao of Canara School emerged victorious.

St Agnes School (CBSE), St Ann’s High School and Carmel School (CBSE) obtained first, second and third place respectively in the mime competition.

Chief guest Sr Ida Barboza AC distributed the prizes and appreciated the enthusiastic participants and highlighted the importance of co-scholastic activities in the overall development of students and importance of them in moral development.

Dr Sharmila Mascarenhas and Sr Dorothy D’Souza AC were the convenors of Pratibotsava 2018. Nirvana D’Souza compered the programme and Shilpa U proposed the vote of thanks.

Students from various schools of the city Lourdes Central School, Ramakrishna High School, Rosario High School, Cascia High School, Canara Girls High Scholl, Carmel School (CBSE), St. Mary’s High School, St. Agnes High School, St. Ann’s High School, Sarojini Madhusudan Khushe School, Ladyhill Victoria High School participated enthusiastically.
