Bantwal: Man wanted in Kalladka stabbing incident arrested

Bantwal, Sep 2: Bantwal town police, on Saturday, September 2, arrested an accused of stabbing incident that took place in Kalladka eight months ago.

The accused, identified as Farooq alias Chenna Farooq, had stabbed Keshava, the accused in Jaleel Karopadi murder case, at Kalladka eight months ago and had fled, giving police a slip.

Farooq was arrested from the house of Taufiq at Kalladka by the police team led by Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj, Bantwal town police station sub-inspector Chandrashekar, crime division sub-inspector Harish and rural police station sub-inspector Prasanna.

Police have also taken into custody and questioned Taufiq who had given shelter to Farooq.

A case of disturbing communal peace in Kalladka in the past was also registered against Farooq.
