Mangaluru: Youth assaults man for allegedly touching his mother

Mangaluru, Sep 4: A young man assaulted a man for allegedly touching his mother. The incident took place during an entertainment programme held at Kadri ground their ground on the night of September 3.

Gopinath, who was seriously injured, is being treated at a hospital. Kadri police shifted the seriously injured man to hospital in their jeep.

According to sources, the youth assaulted Gopinath for allegedly touching his mother during the programme at Kadri ground. The injured man fell to the ground with blood oozing out from his head. The injured man was carried by Kadri police station inspector Maruthi Nayak and two policemen in their jeep to a local hospital.

Police commissioner T R Suresh who received the information, visited the injured in the hospital at 1 am after midnight and obtained details of the condition of the injured. ACP Udaya Nayak, Kadri station ASI Maruthi and staff members were present.
