Bantwal: Man wanted in cattle theft cases arrested, car confiscated

Bantwal, Sep 4: DCIB police arrested an accused in cattle theft near B C Road circle on Tuesday, September 4.

The arrested is Mohammed Ilal alias Ilal (25), resident of Ammemar, Bantwal. DCIB police who were on rounds on Tuesday morning arrested Ilal and confiscated his Fiat Punto car. He has been handed over to Punjalkatte police station along with the car.

Ammamar resident Mansoor alias Manchu, Arafa alias Abbobacker Siddik, Jainu alias Jainuddin and Farook who are part of the case are absconding. Five cases of cattle theft are registered at Bantwal rural police station against Manoor alias Manchu, one case each at Uppinangadi and Puttur police stations. Three cases of assault are registered against Jainu alias Jainuddin in Bantwal rural police station.

DCIB police inspector Sunil Y Nayak led the operation conducted by Vasu Naika, Laxman K G, Iqbal A E, Udaya Rai, Pravin M, Taranath among others.
