Only two things demand and supply..
    Applicable to currency as well..
US dollar value US federal economic policy...
Recently they are increasing lending rates...
So loans become expensive... People spend money carefully.. Investment dries up.. Money circulation reduces... So less money in the system... So demand for dollar becomes more everyday.. It becomes expensive

@S. Francis, Udupi - Just check the dollar price during 2004. It is not more than 45/-.
During that time too petrol, diesel and LPG were highly subsidised.
I am saying this because, why cant we bring back subsidies? Why did they(congress) removed it?
Our internal commodities are not affected by dollar value, other than fuel and gold.
If you stabilize fuel prices by giving subsidies that is enough. Let congress demand for that.
Otherwise general public feel that congress joined hands with bjp!

Raw materials for most of the commodities, be it electronics, synthetic textiles, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, dyes etc are imported for which we have to pay in dollars. Countries like China also import many raw materials, but their exports of finished products outweigh imports, in our case, especially after 2014, less said the better. Increase in unprecedented government expenditure is another area of concern

The signs are clear that the Indian roopee will easily touch Rs 75 mark against the US$ by 31st Dec 2018.

This will have a direct impact on the petroleum products imported. So, the energy-reliant transport and manufacturing costs will increase.

Be prepared to see the inflation rate crossing 5.5 mark. Possibly touching 6 in Jan 2019.

I expect many small businesses to shut shop. Not a great omen for the BJP - just before the 2019 elections. I don't think the BJP will be quoting any IMF reports for a while.

Today every brain washed bhakt has become an enlightened economist who claims that the rupee is fine, the GDP is fine, the economy is fine, but they had a different spin way back in 2013, even though the world was in recession then and the international oil prices were around USD 125. Today the bhakts are in full U turn mode. Don't know where Sushma Swaraj is hiding. It would do her a lot of good to again revisit here own speech which she made in Parliament in 2013, when the rupee was depreciating then. Was she lying then or is the BJP lying today? The nation wants to know as one of their loud mouth chamcha journalist screams each night from his dumb channel.

I never agree with your logic.
First of all why we have compare other countries currency value fall.
Our contention is why Modi could not control trend as far as he has been boasting India’s developments and his administration all over the world. All such events show the countries leaders efficiency and type of system he is handling.
You can directly accept Mr. Modi's way of handling the country and do not try to convince saying other currencies too losing value. Then why America’s currency is still remains dominant against most of world currencies
Nachna jaane Aangan Teda principles apply in the present scenario.
Why Bhakthas were blaming congress days. Own failures are hidden and others facts are exposed for political upper hand. Call black is black.

Reaping our own harvest. A strong hindutva focus is balanced by a weak rupee.

I think people should not worry at all...
Lowest value of dollar during UPA was 68/-

You can say 20% low.. Still you have room till 80/-..

    Sri_Elder,
I think you have become too old (elder) and the sign of that is thinking capacity goes down. Can't help people like you. Its natural. All the best.
And by the way as I said earlier, 3 are in a race to reach the 100 sprint race mark. Petrol, Rupee against dollar and Diesel. Who comes first we have to watch only as spectators. And Gas already in 1000 race who will reach the mark soon.
Mitrooon, Petrol ka daam badaya ki nahi ?
Bhakth : Ha ha ha Badayaaaa
Bhaiyiyoooooon : Rupyeka bhaav dollar ke samne badaya ki nahi. Jaldi woh 100 hone wala ki Nahi ?
Bhakth : Ha ha ha Hone wala hai ?
Mitrooon , Gas ka to maine sab se zyada badaya. Kitna pata hai kya. Rs. 800. Abhi kuch hi dino mein woh bhi mein Rs. 1000 thak pahunchavoonga. Aap log khush hai ki nahi abhi aur achhe din laya ki nahi ?
Andh Bhakth : Ha ha ha , Achhe din aye hein. Doooor se dik raha hai.

In May 2014,the last month of UPA rule, Rupee never crossed 60 a dollar. On 26/5/2014 the day Modi sworn in, Rupee was 58.99 a dollar. And before when $ was at 68 INR, Modi's words were ' Bhrasht Rajneethi ke kaaran rupyah gira hai' . Which means his Bhrasht Rajneethi is still worse.
