MosChip Semiconductor acquires four companies


Hyderabad, Sep 5 (IANS): MosChip Semiconductor Technology, a Hyderabad-based leading semiconductor and IoT technology company, on Wednesday announced the acquisition of four companies.

The public listed company said these acquisitions were part of its growth plans to offer the full suite of skillset and expand business geography.

The companies acquired by MosChip are Gigacom Semiconductor LLC, California, Gigacom Semiconductor Pvt Ltd, Visakhapatnam, FirstPass Semiconductors Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, and Institute of Silicon Systems Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.

"The acquisition helps in recruiting and grooming talent pool along with revenues. These acquisitions will help MosChip to add nearly 250+ talented engineers to the global headcount and expand the footprint in North American region," said Ram Reddy, Founder and Director, MosChip.

Moschip also announced the appointment of Venkata Sudhakar Simhadri as the CEO with effect from July 24. The Board also proposed to appoint him as Managing Director of the company after obtaining approval from the Central Government.

MosChip Semiconductor Technology Ltd is engaged in extensive semiconductor markets in aerospace, defence, consumer electronics, networking/telecommunications, mobile communications and IoT.
