Bangalore, oct 24: It was a triple murder that horrified all those who heard of it. A woman and her two children 14 and 11-year-old Keerthi and Aditya were killed in their own home on the outskirts of Bangalore last weekend. Their throats were slit.
The police, however, are saying they have solved the Bangalore crime with the arrest of DS Yadav, the father. Yadav is a former sergeant of the Indian Air Force.
According to Yadav, he came home to find his wife Anu and children Keerthi and Adithyashubam dead. And now police say that this worst possible nightmare was actually his own creation.
"The husband and father of the deceased had lodged a complaint in Vidyaranyapura police station saying the murders had taken place when he had gone to the railway station to get tickets. The local police have investigated and it was revealed that DS Singh who had filed the complaint in this case is himself the murderer and has killed his wife and children brutally with sharp weapons to eliminate them to facilitate his marriage to another woman," said Shankar Bidari, Police Commissioner, Bangalore.
Police found that the murders had been committed earlier than the time Singh said he was away from the house.
They also found that there was no forceful opening of cupboards from which ornaments had been stolen. The police also felt he did not display a normal amount of grief.
However, the city's people are shocked.
"I'm just wondering why he had to do away with three precious lives when he could have gone to the law and gotten a divorce and gone ahead and married the person he wanted do," said one of the residents.

It's a haunting reminder that sometimes danger can be right in the place where a person should be the safest -- at home
