Bengaluru to host Aero India air show in February

Bengaluru, Sep 8 (IANS): The Defence Ministry on Saturday announced that the next edition of the biennial Aero India air show would be held here from February 20 to 24, 2019.

"The government has decided to hold the Aero India 2019 in Bengaluru from February 20 to 24, 2019," said the ministry in a statement from New Delhi.

The five-day event will be held at the Yelahanka base of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on the city's northern outskirts amid tight security.

"The trade event will showcase technologies and products of global and Indian aerospace and defence firms, with static and flying display of military and civil aircraft, including fighters, jets, helicopters and air weapons.

"Besides global leaders and investors in the aerospace industry, think-tanks from the world over will participate in the show, providing an opportunity to exchange information, ideas and new developments in the industry," said the statement.

"The air show will also give fillip to the domestic aviation and further the cause of 'Make in India'. The defence production department is committed to ensure a result-oriented air show," added the statement.

Could be hosted in Mangalore too by getting aircraft carrier war ships to Mangalore port. A view from tannirbavi or bengre will be better than same old junction of bengaluru.

The thought of Lucknow missing the chance is burning you all the more than the fuel being burnt for the event.

Surprisingly your thick skin is not even feeling the heat while poor and rich Indians are paying the highest fuel prices in entire Asia, under the nose of Modi, in spite of 50 percent lower prices of fuel in the international market, prevailing at present, as compared with MMS regime.

Aero show is not a fancy show for entertainment. It's a place of international product demonstrations and huge defence deals.

It wasn't propaganda. It was a movement against a crooked government that is hell bent on troubling Karnataka. Had not been to such big noise, it would have been shunted to Lucknow. Lathon ke bhooth, baaton se nahi maan-the. Even the air-force itself was against shifting Aero India to Lucknow. This is how BJP works. It tries to check whether people are awake or sleeping. If you are found sleeping, they will take you royal ride. But if you are found awake, then they will retreat to their dens. Umpteen number of 'U-Turns' in the last 4 and half years are example to this. There was a clear message to the Central government from people, specially in the social media that if Aero India is shifted out of Bengaluru, Nirmala Sitaraman too should quit being RS MP from Karnataka. Even CM Kumaraswamy, former CM Siddharamaiah, Deputy CM Parameshwara etc wrote letter to both PM as well as Defense Minister. And air force itself was deadly against this move. So finally they had to bow before people's power. Clear message! Don't try to mess with people of Karnataka. We are peace-loving and generous. But if someone wants to take advantage of our benevolence, then we shall stand against such crooks.
