Mangaluru: ASCEE student association inaugurated at SIT

Mangaluru, Sep 9: The inaugural function of the student Association of Computer Science and Engineering Department – ASCEE, of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, for the year 2018-19 was held on September 7. Ullas Kottary, programmer analyst, Novigo Solutions, Mangaluru was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Ullas Kottary, urged the students to inculcate extra efforts along with their academia which will aid them to reach the epitome of success.

Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college, in his presidential address, urged the students to organize maximum number of technical events in their association and also take up initiatives to shape their ideas into realities.

Prof Shivakumar G S, head of the department, addressed the gathering and asked the students to take active participation in the association activities and grab the opportunities.

Prof Ravishankara K, staff coordinator briefed about the objectives and activities of the association and also emphasized the importance of organizing various events. The programme was welcomed by Afeeza M Ali, president, ASCEE and Prajnesh Shetty S, secretary, ASCEE, delivered the vote of thanks.

The formal function was followed by a technical talk on “Smart Office with Microsoft Office 365” by the chief guest Ullas Kottary.
