Mangaluru: MLA arranges vehicles for bandh-affected people

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 10: At a time when Congress party, with the support of several other parties and organizations, is hell bent on making the Bharat Bandh of September 10 a success, BJP leaders have decided to stoically support the central government by trying to taper down the bandh effect.

Many requests have been making the rounds through the social media, asking people to attend work and do an extra hour on Monday to oppose the bandh call.

The Congress leaders have widely campaigned in the district, saying that no vehicles will take to road today. BJP leaders in the meantime have announced that they have made vehicle arrangements for people finding it difficult to travel to their destinations because of bandh.

City south MLA, Vedavyasa Kamath has said that free motor bikes and cars have been arranged in his constituency, A local group has announced that they would provide free transport facility in Kadaba - Panja area if buses stay off the road.

For these arrangements, wide publicity has been given through WhatsApp and other social media.

During 2014 Lok Sabha elections BJP all over India offered free 'Chai' for votes. Four years of ruling of PM Modi BJP government same citizens now regretting the freebies.

This MLA is also trying to do something similar in order to deflect the attention of voters from real issue of extreme fuel hikes.

If MLA is honest in serving people he should have write to the PMO and Ministry of Petroleum and asked for exercise date to cut. This will directly help bring down the price of petrol/Diesel by Rs 15.

If BJP can offer Rs 100 crores for buying winning opposition party MLA's to form government in Karnataka, this 'freebies' our Rs 11 lakh crores is just few penny for the party.

The real question is where is the Rs 11 lakh crores has gone?

Development at what cost? Spend all our money on buying things at high prices because of the cascading effect that high fuel prices had on things. Remember the current PM got elected on the promise of brining Achche Din Only true Andhbhakts will oppose this Bandh And then sing Namo Namo like a blind bhakt!!!

Wat I fail to understand is that the prices of required items has sky rocketed and people here r saying this party and tat party. Its affecting common man. Rise above politics and c d plight of an ordinary man.
MLA is doing good job by providing trpt facilities coz d bandh is against his party. What if his party would have called for a bandh, would he do d same?

People think abt it!! Don't fall prey for politics. It's ok to support a party till d elections but thereafter we r for ourselves and v shld anlayse d work that d Govt has done. If yes, congratulate them, if not question them.

He is playing with the safety of the travellers traveling in his vehicle. God forbid, if any untoward incident takes place, arson, or stoning resulting in loss of precious lives, I am sure that he will be the first to run away putting others lives in the lunch and wash his hands off from any responsibility. Those thinking of venturing out, better BE CAREFUL AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Sir, why aren't you thinking the necessity for calling this band ? You could have helped us better by explaining to your government, the trouble a common man faces due to high prices. Common, do you BJP supporters have a different fuel price ?

You seem be no different than other leaders - all that your party does is good, irrespective of affects it has on the public. Please be a common man first, then a politician.
