Udupi, Sep 10: Police here resorted to lathi-charge to stop the BJP and Congress workers from indulging in heated arguments and fighting on Monday, September 10.

As per details available, the workers from Congress and BJP did not listen to the requests from police to maintain peace. Instead they continued with the heated arguments regarding Bharath Bandh and were about to fight. At that time, superintendent of police Lakshman Nimbargi ordered lathi-charge to disperse them.

Some sources said that BJP local leader Prabhakar Poojary was injured in the incident.

The incident took place at Bannanje here near superintendent of police office.

Now the situation is peaceful.

Dear BJP and congress leaders. Why do you fight against each other. Your top leaders sit together and enjoy biryani in Bangalore. You people fight here like street dogs.

I appreciate law enforcement department for action. Please swing the baton hardly so hardly next time that they should not think of disturb the peace of common citizens. If not follow the orders few bullets will be welcome.

I am sorry, but the BJP came to power claiming to set the Congress failures right. So why do you want to speak about what the Congress did ?? Why now ?? Now you have to sit down and speak about your failures and not Congress failures. You said you will give good governance. Where is it ??

When the Congress hiked fuel and gas prices you were out on the streets. But now when the BJP is doing it, you still support it blindly. What kind of stupidity is this ??

This is the quality of our Indian Voters. Fight among themselves instead of questioning the elected government to ensure good governance and succeed in getting all promises delivered. Chanting the mantra without our own understanding and wisdom can only bring more disappointments. So remember Voter is the Master.

What are the steps being taken by the Modi government to tackle (1) rising oil prices and (2) dependence on the dollar? (3) Unemployment (4) Drop in exports and industrial output (5) Farmer suicides?

There is no clear response on this.
