Dubai, Sept 10: Latest trend in Konkani theatre is spectators are coming back to watch Konkani drama. ‘Konkani Comedy Prince’ Pradeep Barboza Paladka’s latest super hit comedy drama “Vechogi Ravncho’ is an example of this. After the houseful show of this drama in Dubai by Sangon Mugdana Kalakar , ‘Vechogi Ravncho’ has travelled to Mangaluru and successfully entertained the houseful audience at Kinnigoli and Udupi. The craze and hype of this drama is such that within short span of 3 months 4th show is all set to be staged in Abu Dhabi.
Royal Institute of Music and Arts is presenting this drama with partnership of Broadway Events and Productions for the Konkani drama lovers of Abu Dhabi and UAE on September 20 at British School Abu Dhabi at 8 pm.
The story of the drama revolves around a bus stop and two shops attached to it in rural Mangaluru. The drama is a blend of family and love story, comedy and suspense. The script takes interesting turns when nearing the climax and makes the audience to anticipate alternate endings. The drama is written and directed by ‘Haasy Raay Kunvar’ Pradeep Barboza Paladka. Apart from Pradeep Barboza himself, Alphonse D’Souza Moodbelle, Godwin Castelino Attur, Royston Kiran D’Souza Balkunje, Vernon D’Souza Bajjodi, Paul D’Souza Paladka, Nanu Marol Thottam, Helvin Barboza Kulur, Laveena Fernandes Pangala, and Venicia Rodrigues Alangar performed in the drama. Wonderful music is rendered by Rohan Lobo Kalakul.
Main coordinator of Saangon Mugdana Kalakar team Diany D’Souza informed that the team is delighted to stage one more show in UAE for the audiences of Specially Abu Dhabi. “The requests are pouring in from Places like Mumbai, Mangaluru, Karkala, Shirva, Moodbidri, Kundapur, and Bantwal and also from GCC Countries. For Immediate shows in India is quite difficult due to the professional commitment of the actors but definitely there will be some shows in India which we will announce very shortly. We are requesting Konkani drama lovers of Abu Dhabi to come in huge numbers and watch this super hit,”
