Biruva Javaner Muscat organises blood donation camp in Oman

Muscat, Sep 11: The second blood donation camp organized under the patronage of 'Biruva Javaner Muscat' evoked very good response. More than 160 participants participated in the blood donation camp, and 112 persons including women donated blood, which is a life-saving act.

Billava Javaner (BJ Maskat), organized the event at Blood Bank of Baushar last Friday August 31 from 12pm. The noble deed was meant to commemorate Indian Independence Day and Oman's Renaissance Day.



On the occasion, the group also observed Raksha Bandhan, celebrating fraternal relationship between people. This was accompanied with distribution of brochures containing healthcare information.

Biruva Javaner started out as a WhatsApp group has been functioning as a friends’ collective actively spearheading various social, religious and service initiatives among the Mangalorean Billava community of Oman.
