M'luru: Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration hosts seminar on entrepreneurship

Mangaluru, Sep 12: Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration, a part of Nitte Education Trust, had organized a state level Symposium on 'Entreprenurship and Skill Development' for the students of UG and PG colleges.

The programme was inaugurated by Vishal Hegde, pro-chancellor of Nitte deemed to be university. In his addressal to the students he said, "No jobs would be created without entrepreneurs. We cannot predict what we might lose or gain in business. One who fears failures will never be an entrepreneur."



Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, managing director of Kumble Solar Energy Solutions was guest of honour at the programme. He spoke on 'Effective public speaking, taxation and norms to start a new enterprise. Prof Amar Cherian, principal of the college, Nirupama Purushotham, event coordinator and Gladen D’souza, president of students council were present on the dais. Bhavith Karkera compered the programme. Almost 300 students who participated in the seminar.

The topics conducted here were:
1. Mudra Scheme – Vinayaka Kamath, chief manager, Syndicate Bank, Kadri branch
2. MSME – Vivekananda, Yeyyadi, Mangaluru
3. Communication – Regina Dinesh, lecturer, English department
4. Leadership – Kishore Rao, consultant, Srinvas Consultants
5. Health Tips – Dr Suchitra, Prof and HOD, dept of Moulikha Siddhanta, KAMC, Mangaluru
