Kundapur: Moodlakatte Institute of Technology observes Engineers' Day

Kundapur, Sep 15: Engineers' Day was celebrated on Saturday September 15 at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, here.

On the occasion, a statue of M Visvesaraya was garlanded. Remembering M Visvesaraya, Dr G S Katayya, principal desired all the students to be great engineers like him.

Recalling his achievements, academic director Dr Chandra Rao Madane said that M Visvesaraya converted the barren land of Mandya into a prosperous land and now the
farmer community is reaping the benefits. He wished all the students a happy Engineers' Day.

In her speech, HOD of civil department Prof Shashikala Amsadi said that it is in the hands of engineers to transform the nation from a developing to a developed country and that budding engineers have to promise themselves to use their intelligence and knowledge for the betterment of society.

HODs of various departments were present on the occasion and conveyed their best wishes for Engineer’s Day.

The function was organized by the department of civil engineering.

All the students and faculty were present here.
