Panaji: Seminar on Konkani Theatre Held

Panaji, Oct 28: A seminar on 'Theatre in Konkani: Tradition and Innovation,' was conducted on the 24th and 25th of October 2008 at the Black Box, Kala Academi, Campal, Panaji.



The seminar was inaugurated by eminent theatre personality Pt Satyadev Dubey on Friday October 24. After the inauguration, Shridhar Kamat Bambolkr delivered the key note address. The next day's  sessions were conducted by Pandurang Phaldesai, Uday Bhembre, Tomazino Cardoso and Prakash Thali.

Edwin JF DSouza, member of ther general council of the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi spoke on 'Theatre in Konkani: The Future Direction' and the valedictory address was delivered by Dr Tanaji Harlanker.
