Mangaluru: Two big Tulu films to release on September 21

Mangaluru, Sep 17: Two Tulu films are set to release on the same day this month. Star-studded 'Yera Ullerge' and another film ‘My Name is Annappa’, will be releasing on September 21.

Devdas Kapikad who gave back-to-back hits such as 'Chandi Kori', 'Barsa', and 'Are Marler', is all set to release his next Tulu horror film 'Yera Ullerge' on September 21.

The movie has Arjun Kapikad, Anup Sagar, Rashmika Chengappa and Aradhya Shetty in lead roles. Devdas Kapikad apart from directing the film, has also acted in it along with Saikrishna. The movie revolves around a man who owns a huge property in coastal Karnataka. The camera work is handled by Sudhakar who has also worked for upcoming Tulu film 'Karne'.

The makers of superhit Tulu film ‘Pilibail Yamunakka' are also releasing their next film ‘My Name is Annappa’ on September 21.

The film will be shot in the outskirts of Mangaluru. Director Mayur Shetty has handled the story and the screenplay and lyrics. Five songs are composed by music director Kishore Kumar Shetty.

A new face from Canada, Shubha, will make her debut as the lead actress in the film. Manju Rai will make his first appearance as a lead hero.

It will be interesting to see two Tulu films locking horns on the same day and ultimately the cine-goers will decide their fate.
