Congress played important role in freedom, gave great personalities: Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi, Sep 17 (FE): Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday kicked off a mega outreach programme by the organisation which is likely to see the presence of over 500 dignitaries, PTI has reported. Bhagwat hailed the contribution of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in freedom movement and organisation 

building. The RSS chief said that it’s difficult to understand RSS without understanding Hedgewar. Bhagwat was speaking at ‘Future of Bharat: An RSS perspective’ – A 3-day event which aims to communicate RSS’. Renowned actors like Manisha Koirala, Ravi Kishen, Bhagyashree and Annu Kapoor were also seen attending the event.

Bhagwat also discussed freedom fighter Rabindranath Tagore and former President APJ Abdul Kalam Azad’s teachings to serve the nation. He said that while Tagore called for unity in the nation, Kalam had said that it’s important to work with the motive to serve the country.

Bhagwat also praised Congress and said that the party played a big role in freedom movement. “Congress played a big role in freedom movement and gave India many great personalities,” Bhagwat was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. He added that three-day conclave is aimed to make people understand the organisation.

Citizens from all walks of life such as religious leaders, business tycoons, retired judges, former chiefs of the armed forces, and ambassadors of over 60 countries have been invited.

    IT took RSS 70 years say what every kid & its dad & grand father knew. without CONGRESS india would never have achieved the present status.from Nehru to Indira to Sonia & now Rahul as well as Narsimha rao.. shastry every CONGRESSMEN & women sacrificed their life to development of this nation.
    WITHOUT doubt CONGRESS kept this vast nation with all its diversity & complex structure kept united.no CONGRESS no INDIA.
    IN a word CONGRESS is soul of this nation.. the very talk of CONGRESS mukt is like shoot yourself in the head.only a fool will say such preposterous utterings.

    Main slogan of RSS...Always tell truth....good example none other than..modiji..amitaji...mohanji..!! Most of sangha parivaar people are earlier associated with congress to fight against britishers in freedom movement. Batallion of people belonged to RSS...struggled...fought daringly with britishers and latter imprisoned. There names still not exist in congress's history book. Veer Savarkar and his brother kept in andaman prison for many years. We received independance not through satyagraha done by mahatmaji..but by struggle. On that time only congress party exists and more of people joined in it to build nation..credit retained by themselves. Nor anywhere in the world any country procured independance by peacefully. Nehru-Gandhi only pawn in the hands of britishers...enjoying there status.

    During the campaign prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha election, the Gujju-bhai promised to bring back black money from abroad to India and deposit Rs. 15 lakh from it into every citizen's bank account.

    Did the Gujju-bhai follow RSS' "Always tell truth"?

    Or, are you suggesting that promises by the active RSS members made do not need to be done in truthfulness?

    One thing is certain, it takes tooo long for any RSS person, to acknowledge the truth and facts. Since it is for the first time it is natural that there is a suspicion. Is it a gimmick again?
    Most if not all BJP bhakts will be scratching themselves, as they always forced to discredit congress by their tutors.
