Panaji, Sep 19: The Naval flight seminar which began in Goa Tuesday will discuss ‘Transition to a 500 Aircraft – Challenges in Operational and Maintenance’, a senior official said.
“Annual Naval Flight Safety Meeting, Flight Safety Seminar and Inaugural Naval Flight Test Seminar kick started at INS Hansa on Tuesday, September 18” Indian Navy’s spokesman has said in a statement issued here.
He said that the Flight Safety Seminar is an annual event in which various Flight Safety statistics including all three services that is Army, Navy and Air Force and that of Coast Guard are discussed.
“Papers on various subjects relevant to the theme of this year's seminar 'Transition to a 500 Aircraft Navy - Challenges in Operation and Maintenance' will be presented during the seminar,” he said.
Inaugural Naval Flight Test Seminar will see participation from various luminaries involved is flight testing.
In addition to serving and retired test pilots from Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, delegates from DRDO Labs, HAL, NAL, Boeing, Dassault Aviation and International Test Pilot School, Canada will also participate in the Seminar, he added.
