Mangaluru, Sep 27: Copious rains interspersed with lightning and thunder have been lashing coastal districts including the city since Wednesday night. The rain has returned with full force after a long lull.
Although there had been reports of torrential rainfall in places like Bengaluru, Mysuru and several northern Karnataka districts, rainfall had eluded coastal areas since many days. Hot and humid days were back and the season looked like summer. Therefore, people were hoping to get some relief from the heat and praying for rains.Their prayers seem to have been answered as the rain brought down temperature a little.
