All India Konkani Poetry Recital Competition by Kavita Trust - Prelims in 17 places

Mangaluru, Sep 27: Kavita Trust has announced the dates for the All India Konkani Poetry Recital Competition for youth and children. The prelims will be held at 17 places and those qualified in the prelims will get the chance to participate in the finals at Kavita Fest 2019 to be held on January 13 in Mangaluru.

Every participant for the prelims will get certificate of participation. Travel and accommodation will be provided for the finalists by Kavita Trust apart from cash prizes, memento and certificates.

Prelims will be held at 7 places at Mumbai with co-operation of Konkani poet Valley Quadras through his Ashavadi Publications and 7 other local Konkani associations. Konkani Samudai in Jayanagar along with FKCA for Bengaluru, Konkani Bhasha Mandal, for Goa, Our Lady of Health Church Shirva, for Udupi, ICYM Modankap Unit for Bantwal, Mahima Konkani periodical and Konkani Movement, Kasargod for Kerala, Konkani Natak Sabha, for Mangaluru and Navayathi Mehfil for Bhatkal have joined their hands with Kavita Trust to organize the prelims in these places extending the periphery of these competitions along with adding more colors to it.

Kerala: September 30, at Kayyar Church Hall.
Mangaluru: October 7, at Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru.
Mumbai: October 14: Mahakali and Jerimeri; October 21: Vasai and Mira Road; October 28 : Sanpada; November 4: Bhandup; November 11: Kandivali; November 18: Orlem; November 25: Atma Darshan, Andheri.
Bantwal: November 4 at Church School Hall, Modankap.
Udupi: November 18 at St Mary’s College, Shirva.
Panaji: November 28 at T.B. Cunha Hall, Panjim.
Margao: November 29 at Ravindra Kelekar Gyanmandir.
Bhatkal: December 9 at Navayathi Mehfil venue, Bhatkal
Bengaluru: December 16 at Jayanagar.

    Well done Kavita Trust in organizing national level Konkani poetry promotion. Appreciate the hard work and efforts by all involved.

    Again and again, Kavita Trust has proved its organizational skills and promoting Konkani language. Admirable in it focus and planned activities.

    Please support in each of local events listed and help by coordinating with possible participants / submitting their entries, so that at least 25 to 30 participants at each of the 17 competition places.
