Bengaluru: Miraculous escape - Shocking video shows boy run over by car

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Sept 27: The Bengaluru city police have tweeted a shocking video of a young boy being run over by a car. Thankfully, the boy has a miraculous escape.

A video captured on CCTV shows some children playing on the road, while one boy sits next to grey coloured Wagon R vehicle to tie shoelaces. At the same time, a woman enters the car and starts to drive. She fails to notice the boy as well as close the left door of the vehicle, and drives the car over the boy.

But miraculously, the boy who narrowly misses the car's tyres, gets up and runs towards his friends, who seem unaware of the incident.

The footage was captured on September 24 at around 7 pm. The Bengaluru police have tweeted the video with caption, “It teaches us more than what we are just watching….”

The shocking video has taken social media by storm. While many are criticizing the woman for being careless and demanding her arrest, some are condemning parents on allowing their children to play on road.

    Unscientific PARKING marked!

When vehicle is right hand drive : Parking should be on left side of the road so that driver can see before coming out of side parking, or her car is parked in a opposite side. where as when car is Left hand drive see in Middle East all side parkings on right side of the road so that driver can see while coming out of the side parking.

Government and RTA should change the system.

If it is true, lucky boy and so is the lady driver. God has saved them both really. Lady should have watched around the car before she started her car. Hows it possible that she does not notice the child, though vehicle is small with low ground clearance. Do not blame parents. Children need to play n burn energy like how we did as children. We were lucky that we had homes with front verandahas to play. Now in an era when apartments are ruling the rooster, schools, colleges are neglecting the Physical education needs of students, what do you expect children to do. They will play on empty side roads, basements of apartments, wherever they find a piece of land to play.

Many times same mistake occur with school childrens while boarding or get down during school bus. How can driver take care in all occasions. Sometimes if they find anything near bus will bend-down near wheels to pick-up. All the time driver cannot be controllable. Many time childrens all of sudden do mischevious things before glanced by others. It's wrong to blame entirely on drivers some are long sighted cannot view clearly of near-by. It's parents as well as of school admunistration to give them instructions and create awareness about it from time to time. Basic civic things to be teached and to be entertained.

I agree with you. In this case its clearly an blind spot. It cant be carelessness as no one would run over anyone if seen in front.Talking about blind spot, many times bus or truck drivers are balmed when someone run over crossing too close to front 3 sides of bus or an truck.Drivers can never see anything close to their front portion. Same applicable for 2 wheelers also. They come and stand right in front which is a total blind spot for all heavy vehicles.

What an idiot that lady must be. It's it even a blind spot that you miss noticing, clearly carelessness of the driver. Someone who doesn't know to lock a door properly has all the talent in the world to run over kids like this easily..

IT SHOWS THAT YOU HAVE NEVER GONE ABOVE THIRD OR FORTH STANDARD IN SCHOOL. ALL THE SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES HAVE GROUNDS, THAT IS WHY WE HAVE FEW WORLD CLASS ATHLETES, UNFORTUNATELY CORRUPT PEOPLE CHOOSE INDIVIDUALS WITH GOD FATHERLY OR BY FILLING THE POCKETS ATTITUDE. TAKE EXAMPLE OF ATHLETES FROM KERALA.
