Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Sep 28: “Instructions have been given to open Shiradi Ghat road for bus traffic in two days time,” informed district in-charge minister U T Khader on Thursday, September 27.

“During the meeting held at deputy commissioner’s (DC) office with highway officials, it was decided to coordinate with Hassan DC to allow the bus movement on Shiradi Ghat Road,” he added

“We also discussed about deploying police personnel at some important points of the Ghat stretch. Goods vehicles will be asked to use Charmadi Ghat road for some more time. It was also decided to speed up the work at Sampaje road,” Khader informed.

“Kulur Bridge is in bad condition. Highway officials have been told take up the construction of new bridge as at the soonest,” he said.

“We need to get more information from Hassan district administration about Shiradi Ghat. Based on that, we will take a decision on Monday,” said DC Shashikanth Senthil.

Mr. Siddu, Sampaje: You are in Sampaje within the State of Karnataka.
This Shiradi Ghat comes under the jurisdiction of National Highway Authority of India(NHAI), which comes under the Central Government and the State Government is nothing to with this. Earlier it was under the Karnataka State Government, National Highways, PWD Division of National Highway Division, Ashok Nagar, Mangalore- 575006.

if you need more information and to know what I have written here, you may contact The Executive Engineer Office, Nex to Ganesh Temple, National Highway Division (PWD Division), Mangalore- 575006, that will clear your doubts and do not comment without knowing the facts. Jai Hind
