Bantwal: We oppose looting of temple money – Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Sep 28: "We oppose the move of the government, which stopped the financial aid that was being given by the Kollur temple for the purpose of midday meals to the students, of looting the money collected in temples in the name of distributing relief to the Kodagu deluge victims," said Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, president of Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha.

He was speaking to the media at Kalladka Sriram Vidya Kendra on Thursday, September 27.

"The very government, which said that the money collected in the temples has to be utilized only for the works related to the temple, is looting the temple collection on the pretext of providing relief to the victims of recent Kodagu floods. Let the government handover the management of the temples to the Hindus. We will look after them in a better manner. The people who have said that they will not use the money of Hindu temples have to answer now." Bhat said.

Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, president of Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha whose own educational institutions all these years are on grants of 'Kollur Mookambika' hundi despite private institute.
    1. How does private institute is eligible for temple grant without the approval of Mujrai department?
    2. It is know fact that temples in South India is never short of funds. Then why did our India still struggling for malnutrition, health care and lack of employments?

Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat who is Doctor in profession instead of bringing politics in the temples, should focus on the benefits of his own community.
If temple hundi's are unaccounted then there should be proper auditing of open and close balance each day. The balance should be transparent displayed in notice board and uploaded in the official website.

People oppose Dr. Bhat should still agree to his point....
Why money from only Hindu temples are being used by the Government which hates Hindus so much?

Those hate Hindus are ready to take this money just because it came from Government? Do they not consider this is HARAM money to accept?

Here we are missing some points. In India Temples have different kind of role since ancient times.Temple was acted as village centres not just religious place. I happenned to have discussion with American when he came to know about Dharmika Datti ilake he said Govt has to secular and it cannot interfere in religion ( In US Govt has no role in Churches or any other religious place). In India we have these things for some valid reasons -- only scholars can throw light on it
Mr Bhat is just trying to show his grievances and I dont think he is really against using the money for flood victims. Can some one among readers throw some light on why temples are controlled by Govt (some valid reason must be there)

According to the national figures released for 2012. State Karnataka- total money collected = 72 crores number of temples = 2,50,000. That amounts to rs 3,500 per temple per year. Out of the lakhs of temples only a handful get enough money as donations to run them and the rest are run by the govt. Hence the management of temples by govt.

    According to Bhatta,

It is okay for temple trustees and management to make adjustment between themselves.

It's okay to burry all the temple money under some big tree, but shouldn't be used for the welfare of Kodagu people .

Similarly, there is 20 billion dollar worth gold in Kerala, which should be used immediately.

Kalla Bhatta: if the money is used by no matter who (including Govt) for the betterment of its citizen what is the harm in it?? you should be proud and beat your chest that your temple funds have gone to good work, not ranting about looting.. Worry about the looters who have looted the money sitting within the temple and its administration.. Why are you silent on such looters who murdered Vinayak Baliga?? you are a shameless person who only spews venom and creates hatred among peace loving society.. You will have to answer to yourself, your family and God to all your misdeeds...

Why you need temple money ? Temple money should be used for Roti Kapada aur Makan.... wah.... what a thought.... A Direct question to those readers say above words.... Why your church/mosque need Money donated in temples in the way of Kanike/Harike/Tulabhara/ Anna santarpane/ Development and Renovation etc given by devotees ? Let it be used for respective Temples and the welfare of people to whom these Temples belong. Is there any Govt rule to take over church/mosque etc under its supervision ? WHY only HINDU TEMPLES AND ITS MONEY IS TARGETTED FOR Utilization by other communities ? Too much is too bad... Hindus will not get any aid from Govt for renovation or development work of Temples.... instead GOVT try to grab the management by appointing people from other community/caste and religion as Officers and there by do harrazment to Hindus.... You should be ashamed of to use the money collected in they way of RECEIPTS and AS PER LAW... by these temples.... Every thing is Audited and accounted as per IT ACT and STATE GOVT acts.... Church and Mosque is not touched while acquiring the power by Govt.... SHAME ON YOU AND THE GOVT FOR THIS HARRAZMENT...
Stupids always have a mindset to rob money from temples ....

    Hey rational thinker:
Your rationale is preposterous. The money collected belongs to the religious institution concerned, to be utilized as it sees appropriate in accordance with the wishes of the people (congregation) who donated it. Any move by the government to expropriate the funds without legal authority is constitutionally untenable, whether it is the temple money, mosque money or church money, property rights cannot be siphoned of in the manner that the government is doing. Let there be proper legislation that passes the constitutional test to appropriate the money. The Kalladka Bhat has a strong civil case to sue the government and recover the siphoned money..

ROTI KAPADA AND MAKAN - should be provided by the elected Govt. and it is their duty becaused they BEG VOTES ON THESE concept everytime,.... Temples are place of worship where devotees donate for their wellbeing thru proper payment channel and get a valid receipt for that.... EVEN it is audited as per IT ACT.... Why you are bothered about ROTI ... and otherthings... Ask your stupid Govt for this.... Temples have their own programs like Anna santarpane, Mid day meal for childrens, medical camps, Health Insurance scheems, Old aged people orphanage and also they do kind donation for National emergecy and Natural calamities.... God has given brains to people to do good & not to kill one another, & when they attain asura qualities he had taken avatars to end their anarchy or mayhem.
Now see the pattern the fringe groups controlled by this person first attack some from other community & they retaliate, now who died or killed for whom?
By killing one another nobody can save their religion, but by following the way of life described by their religion they can pass on their legacy for generations. Turning India into Afghanistan or ISIS mentality won't bring peace or progress.
By the way you or persons like you never answer the pertinent questions raised by us, why?
