UP Minister calls Rahul Gandhi 'mad, unfit to be Congress chief'

Lucknow, Sep 28 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Labour Minister Swamy Prasad Maurya on Friday lashed out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi for attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and called him a "mad man who doesn't deserve to lead India's oldest political party".

"Rahul Gandhi has been continuously calling the Prime Minister a thief. Look at the decency of Modi that he is not (even) responding," said Maurya, who switched sides from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the 2017 Assembly elections.

"It is a matter of great shame that the Congress leader is mouthing such (abusive) language for the country's Prime Minister," the Minister told reporters on the sidelines of an event in Mainpuri.

He said that "this childish behaviour did not behove of the Congress chief", adding that the opposition party should be worried since this will invite public ire.

Maurya said that the "immature behaviour" of Gandhi was for all to see as he had embraced Modi in the Lok Sabha and also gave statements that even a child would not.

The Minister also said that the vicious Congress campaign on the Rafale deal will not cut into BJP victory prospects in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

    Rahul Gandhi with dynamic personality and excellent intelligence is making BJP lose thier hand down old torn chaddi from Britishers. For a mad person the whole world looks mad, so is the case nowadays with BJP. It's a survival cry from BJP to call RG is unfit to be congress chief and eventually a PM because it's going to be a death bed for them.

    Wow.. isnt it a DejaVu.. Did you forget what the PeeParty leaders including Feku Maharaj did in 2013?? Exactly the same... Where did all the so called ranting and chestbeating of allegations of corruption and money laundering and Black money go.. where is the pinch of evidence that you are asking now?? isnt the PeeParty heading the COWernment.. Why all the ranting then in 2013 and no actions taken since 2014?? Blind Bhakth, what goes around comes around.. What you sow thou shall reap.. This disgusting trend of mudslinging and calling names was started by the shameless people of PeeParty who will stoop to any levels for power..     Don't forget who started "maut ka saudagar in 2012 Gujarath election. From 2004 to 2014 chaddiless tried it's level best to arrest MODI by filing number of false cases and did not prove a single one and MODI did not apply for bail as khangress could not prosecute him. Where as both pappu and his mother r out in bail. Who coined chaiwala dailgue or "nara hanthanka" same siddu went begging towards MODI when he became PM what happened to Appa of appa maga party who said he will resign from politics if NDA won majority leave BJP but BJP on its own got majority and this appa has to swallow his words.     Apparently RaGas team is on the BJP payroll. I feel sorry for Congress and its stooges. Its the leader to blame. To this day whatever gimmick they have tried to malign Modi has boomeranged back on them severely and left them in a state of humiliation. So this 'Rafale deal' too is heading the same way. RaGa has not come up with even a pinch of a credible evidence , its just ranting and ranting and eventually calling the PM as 'thief'. This has not gone well with even the Congi segments. I doubt anybody would support such a party or leader. Its really sad.

    In this entire news, somewhere i found a statement could be true and congress supporters should be worried about - RG leadership

    Congress leadership is ready to accept the defeat but not willing to change the leadership or announce a competitive PM candidate. People of this nation are not ready yet to accept RG as a leader or PM candidate. Perception will not change over night. So congress should find a solution for this probably pulling in Priyanka Gandhi to lead the party or as PM candidate. Else congress seats will further be reduced to around 20-25.
