Mangaluru: Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru emerge champion at ‘Joshiana’

Mangaluru, Sep 28: ‘The TechnoCrats’, the students association of department of Computer Applications of SJEC hosted Joshiana 9.0, a 2-day National Level IT Fest for the students of MCA, MS, MSc, MTech and BE (CS & IS).

The fest was organized on September 27 and 28, under the aegis of the department of Computer Applications.

Joshiana 9.0 came to a closure with the Valedictory Programme held on 28th September 2018. The Runners-Up award of Joshiana 9.0 was awarded to Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil and the Overall Championship was bagged by Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru.

The events were conducted by the MCA students over two days. All in all, 18 teams registered for Joshiana 9.0 and 170 participants were a part of the fest.

The fest comprised of 11 events namely: webphenom (web designing), code-a-thon (coding), imagino (video editing), nexplora (mega event), hyper maze (treasure hunt), the brain game (IT quiz), the headhoncho (IT manager), the strike of war (IT parliament), techno buzz (product launch), dramebazz (mad ads) and battlegound (gaming).

The events were designed to test the technical mettle of the participants. There were eminent personalities judging the events from in and out of the college. Some of the judges called from outside included RJ Anurag from 93.5 Red FM, who judged the final round of the event Best Manager. The judges for all the events were felicitated by the respective Event Managers by handing them a memento as a token of appreciation.
