Mangaluru: Parent teacher meeting held at Expert PU College

Mangaluru, Sep 28: A meeting of the parents of the II PU students was convened at the Valachil Campus of Expert PU College. The objective of the meeting was to apprise them of the various activities of the college and to address their grievances if any.

The meeting was presided over by Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Group of Institutions. He briefed the parents about various activities and measures that are being taken to prepare the students to face upcoming examinations.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson of Expert Group of Institutions spelled out the role of the parents and teachers in accomplishing the desired goal of the students and she urged them to play a pro- active role.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, in his introductory remark elaborated the facilities provided in the college and the method of evaluation to assess and assist the students to excel in their performance.

Shyam Prasd, co-ordinator of AICE and Subramanya Udupa, HOD of Mathematics had their presentation on preparing the students to face the board examinations and various competitive exams such as JEE Main, NEET and CET.

Queries of the parents regarding various issues and problems were addressed in the interactive session that followed.

Raghavendra Sheony, vice-principal, Vinay Kumar, lecturer in Mathematics and Gurudatta N, HOD of Hindi addressed the gathering.

Jasmine Prathibha, lecturer in English, welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
